Santa Claus makes his way through a swarming crowd gathered for his arrival Friday evening in Traverse City. After coming to town on a horse-drawn sleigh, Santa received a key to the city from Traverse City Mayor Pro-Tem, Chris Bzdok. Hundreds turned out to watch the jolly old elf light the 30-foot Douglas fir donated from the Northwestern Michigan College University Center campus.
