Mileage Club walkers travel through the hallways Tuesday at Interlochen Elementary School. Each lap taken in the school, a quarter mile, is marked off on an individual's Mileage Club card. Since winter of 2007 the group has walked the equivalent of the Earth's circumference, approximately 24,900 miles. Destinations are chosen for the walking program, and the distance from the chosen location (this year it's Nome, Alaska) and Interlochen Community School is the Mileage Club's goal this year.
