The Old Town Parking Deck off Eighth Street in Traverse City is taking shape and favorable construction weather over the winter has the project ahead of schedule, city officials said. The $7.8 million project will include four stories and 522 parking spaces. It could open by mid- to late August, almost a month before its original Sept. 17 completion date, "if our schedule remains unobstructed," said Rob Bacigalupi of the city's Downtown Development Authority.
