While most people are quietly sleeping, Bill Ankerson has already spent several hours working at his grandfather's 600-acre farm west of Traverse City. As people commute to work past the rolling green fields of Gallagher's Centennial Farm, Ankerson, his grandfather Doug Gallagher, and Doug's son Anthony Gallagher, have already milked the cows and shaken several rows of cherry trees.
